Buying sunglasses online has never been so easy. Most sunglasses are one size fits all. If you are one of the few who needs a more specific fit, here are some tips to getting a good fit.
1) Know what the frame measurements mean.
Example: 55 - 16 - 135
All measurements are in millimeters
55 is the lens size (The horizontal length of the lens)
16 is the bridge width
135 is the temple length
2) The most important measurement is the temple legth.
This will help determine how the sunglasses will sit on your face.
3) Measure your own temple length.
Using a ruler measure the distance from the top of your ear to your 10 mm in front of your eye.
Average temple length for men is 140mm.
Average temple length for women is 130mm.
The lens size is an indicator of how the frame will look on your face, i.e. How wide it will be.
The bridge width is only important if your nose is very wide or very narrow.
Average bridge size is 18-20. If your nose is very wide consider a larger bridge(22 and above). If your nose if very narrow consider a smaller bridge(15 and below)
